Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course: Visitor Guide and Tee Times
Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course is a hilly 18-hole, par-70 course in Upper Dago, about 8 km north of central Bandung, that began as nine holes in 1917. It plays between 950 and 1,065 metres above sea level, so it is noticeably cooler than Jakarta, with pines, narrow fairways and views over the city.
The course is open daily, and the Swiss-Belresort Dago Heritage sits inside the complex for an easy stay-and-play. Zora Golf Travel, founded in Jakarta in 2024 by golfers with 250+ combined rounds, books your tee time and hotel and stays with you as a personal guide. This guide covers the course facts, how it plays, how to get there from Jakarta and how to pair it with other Bandung courses.

A Course With More Than a Century of History
Dago opened in 1917 as a nine-hole course, more than a century ago [1]. It was extended to 18 holes in 1994 to a design by Chohei Miyazawa [1]. The 1917 in its name marks that original opening year.

How Dago Heritage 1917 Plays
Dago is short on the card but demanding on the ground, so accuracy matters far more than power.
One of Indonesia's Hilliest Courses
The course climbs from about 950 to 1,065 metres and is described as one of Indonesia's hilliest [1]. Uphill and downhill lies are part of nearly every approach, so expect to adjust club choice from the raw yardage. A buggy makes the climbs between holes much easier.
Narrow Fairways and Pines
Pine trees line narrow fairways, and there are only two par 5s on the card [1]. At 5,677 yards and par 70, placing the ball in the fairway is the main task.
Cooler Golf Above the City
At nearly 1,000 metres, the course is higher and cooler than Bandung itself, which sits at about 700–770 m [1][4]. Several holes look out over the city [1]. That makes Dago a comfortable alternative to the heat of Jakarta's lowland courses.

Plan My TripGetting to Dago Heritage From Jakarta
Jakarta to Bandung is about 145 km, and Dago is on the north side of the city.
By Whoosh High-Speed Train
Whoosh opened in October 2023 and runs from Halim in Jakarta via Karawang and Padalarang to Tegalluar, taking about 35–47 minutes end to end [3]. A feeder train connects Padalarang with Bandung city [3]. From the station, Zora's guide drives you to Upper Dago, about 20 minutes from central Bandung [1].
By Road or Conventional Train
By car, the Cipularang toll road takes about 3 hours from Jakarta, and longer at weekends. The Argo Parahyangan train runs into central Bandung in around 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours. Either way, the final leg to Dago is a short drive north from the centre.

Is there a hotel at Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course?
Yes, the Swiss-Belresort Dago Heritage sits inside the golf complex in Upper Dago. It opened in December 2018 and has 161 rooms, so golfers can stay on site and walk to an early tee time. Zora books the room and the tee time together and confirms both in writing before you travel to Bandung.
Staying on site also makes it easy to play Mountain View, which is also in the Dago hills, the next morning.
How Visitors Book a Tee Time
Dago Heritage is open daily, and group sizes are capped at five players on weekdays and four at weekends [1].

Get a QuotePairing Dago Heritage With Other Bandung Courses
Dago is a short, historic course, so it pairs well with longer, more modern layouts.
Mountain View and Parahyangan
Mountain View Golf Club at Dago Pakar, a Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett design, is about 20 minutes from central Bandung and shares the cooler northern hills. Parahyangan Golf Bandung, a 7,298-yard Bob Moore course near Padalarang, is the longer test and a World Golf Awards winner. The guide to golf in Bandung compares all three.
The Jakarta to Bandung Golf Tour
The Jakarta to Bandung golf tour links city rounds in Jakarta with Dago and the other Bandung courses. Packages are priced POA around your dates.
When to Play Golf at Dago
Bandung has a mean high of 28.9 °C and a mean low of 19.9 °C, and Dago sits higher than the city [1][4]. Rainfall is about 2,316 mm a year, with August the driest month [4]. The weather agency BMKG put the 2025/26 rainy-season peak between November 2025 and February 2026 [5].

About ZoraFrequently Asked Questions
How much is the green fee at Dago Heritage 1917?
The green fee at Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course is POA, price on application. No current visitor rate could be verified from a published source. Zora quotes the green fee for your date and group, together with the buggy, transport and any hotel night, while the caddie fee is paid directly to your caddie, and nothing is booked until you accept the itemised quote.
A combined golf and hotel quote is often the simplest way to plan a Dago stay.
How old is Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course?
Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course opened in 1917 as a nine-hole course, so it has more than a century of golf behind it. It became an 18-hole course in 1994, when Chohei Miyazawa designed the extended layout to the hilly ground. Today it is a par-70 course of 5,677 yards in Upper Dago, Bandung.
The heritage name refers to that original 1917 opening [1].
Is Dago Heritage golf course hilly?
Yes, Dago Heritage 1917 is described as one of Indonesia's hilliest golf courses. It plays between 950 and 1,065 metres above sea level, with pine-lined, narrow fairways and frequent uphill and downhill lies. A buggy makes the climbs easier, and accuracy matters more than length on a par-70 course of 5,677 yards.
The height also keeps temperatures cooler than in Jakarta or central Bandung.
How many players can play in a group at Dago Heritage?
Dago Heritage 1917 allows up to five players per group on weekdays and up to four at weekends. Larger parties are split across consecutive tee times. Zora requests the tee times together so your group plays one after another, and confirms the final arrangements in writing before you travel to Bandung for the round.
Weekend groups of five should plan on two tee times.
How far is Dago Heritage from central Bandung?
Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course is about 8 km north of central Bandung, a drive of around 20 minutes. It sits on Jalan Raya Golf Dago in Upper Dago. From Jakarta, take the Whoosh train or drive the Cipularang toll road, and Zora's guide handles the final transfer from the station or your hotel.
Staying at the Swiss-Belresort inside the complex removes the transfer altogether.
