Jakarta to Bandung Golf Tour: Five Days, Two Climates, One Guide

A Jakarta to Bandung golf tour pairs a championship round in the capital with cooler highland golf in West Java, linked by the Whoosh high-speed train. Bandung sits at about 700–770 m, with a mean daily high of 28.9 °C against Jakarta's 32.5 °C [1].

Zora Golf Travel was founded in Jakarta in 2024 by golfers with 250+ combined rounds, and a personal guide travels with you from airport arrival to departure, including on the train. The tour runs over four nights with three or four rounds, and every trip is tailored, so the itinerary below is a sample and the price is on application (POA).

Who the Jakarta to Bandung Golf Tour Suits

This is the longest of Zora's five packages and the one that travels furthest from Jakarta. It suits golfers who want variety in both course style and climate.

Typical Travellers

  • Golfers with five days who want more than one region on a single trip
  • Players who find Jakarta's heat hard work and want cooler mountain rounds
  • Groups of up to four, the maximum flight size at Royale Jakarta and Mountain View [3][7]
  • Visitors who want to try Indonesia's high-speed railway as part of the trip

When a Shorter Package Fits Better

Golfers with only three or four days usually get more golf from a Jakarta-only trip, because the Bandung transfer uses part of a day. The full range of Zora golf packages starts with a 3D2N break and also includes a Jakarta and Bogor option closer to the city.

Sample 5D4N Jakarta to Bandung Itinerary

The table shows one way to plan four rounds over five days. It is a sample only, and every trip is tailored to your flight times, playing level and preferred courses.

Day-by-Day Sample Itinerary

Day Morning Afternoon and Evening Overnight
Day 1 — Arrival Guide meets you at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK) Private transfer to your hotel; briefing on the week ahead Jakarta
Day 2 — Jakarta golf Round 1 at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, Halim Free afternoon in Jakarta Jakarta
Day 3 — Transfer and golf Whoosh from Halim to Padalarang; clubs travel by car Round 2 at Parahyangan Golf, then transfer to your Bandung hotel Bandung
Day 4 — Bandung golf Round 3 at Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course Free afternoon in Bandung Bandung
Day 5 — Optional golf and departure Optional Round 4 at Mountain View Golf Club Return to Jakarta by Whoosh or car; transfer to CGK for your flight —

Why the Sample Runs in This Order

Royale Jakarta sits at Halim, the Jakarta terminus of the Whoosh line, so the city round and the train share one corner of the capital [2][7]. Parahyangan is reached from Padalarang, the first Bandung-area station, which lets you play on the way into the city [2][3]. Dago Heritage and Mountain View are both in north Bandung, about 20 minutes from the centre [3].

Three Rounds or Four

The fourth round on Day 5 depends on your flight time. An evening departure usually leaves room for a morning at Mountain View, while an early flight drops it and keeps the trip to three rounds.

Getting From Jakarta to Bandung: Whoosh or the Cipularang Toll

Bandung is about 145 km from Jakarta by road [2]. The tour can use the high-speed train, a private car on the Cipularang toll road, or both.

Travel Options Compared

Option Route Typical Time Best For
Whoosh high-speed train Halim (Jakarta) – Karawang – Padalarang – Tegalluar About 35–47 minutes, Halim to Tegalluar Speed; a playing day at Parahyangan straight off the train
Whoosh plus feeder train Whoosh to Padalarang, then the feeder service to Bandung Whoosh journey plus a short connection Reaching central Bandung by rail
Private car, Cipularang toll Jakarta to Bandung via the toll road opened in 2005 About 3 hours; longer at weekends Door-to-door travel with golf bags

How Zora Handles the Clubs

When the group takes Whoosh, a car carries the golf bags so you travel light and your clubs meet you at the course. Opened in October 2023, Whoosh is the main reason a Bandung leg now fits inside a five-day trip [2]. Weekend road traffic is the main risk on the Cipularang route, so road transfers are timed for weekdays where possible.

About Zora

Course Options on the Bandung Leg

The tour draws on three Bandung courses, each with its own visitor guide. Green fees for all three are quoted POA for your dates.

Parahyangan Golf

Parahyangan Golf is a Bob Moore design by JMP Golf Design Group, opened in November 2018 at Kota Baru Parahyangan, Padalarang [3][4]. It was named Indonesia's Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards in 2020 and 2023 [4][5]. There is no driving range, so warm-up is planned before you reach the first tee [3].

Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course

Dago Heritage 1917 opened as nine holes in 1917 and became 18 holes in 1994 [3]. Golfasian calls it one of Indonesia's hilliest courses [3]. The 161-room Swiss-Belresort Dago Heritage sits inside the complex, which makes it a practical base for the Bandung nights [8].

Mountain View Golf Club

Mountain View Golf Club in Dago Pakar is a Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett design about 20 minutes from central Bandung [3]. Its north Bandung location pairs well with Dago Heritage, and it is the usual choice for the optional fourth round. More background on the region is in the guide to golf in Bandung.

The Jakarta Round

The sample plays Royale Jakarta Golf Club, a 27-hole Robert Moore Jr. layout that hosted the Indonesian Masters from 2011 to 2024 [7]. Royale is one of the clubs where Zora holds authorised tee-time access, alongside Damai Indah (PIK and BSD) and Jagorawi. Another Jakarta course can replace it on request.

Jakarta to Bandung Golf Tour Price

The tour is priced on application (POA) and quoted per golfer in writing. No current visitor green fee could be verified for the Bandung courses, so every fee is confirmed for your exact dates.

Green fees are quoted separately from the package, based on the courses you choose and where they are.

Breakfast depends on the hotel you choose: some rates include it and some do not, and your quote shows which.

What the Quote Depends On

Courses chosen Each club sets its own visitor rate POA
Weekday or weekend rounds Clubs can set different weekday and weekend rates, and weekend roads are slower POA
Three or four rounds The optional Day 5 round adds a green fee and a transfer POA
Hotel choice in each city Room rates vary by hotel, area and season POA
Train or car Whoosh tickets plus a bag car cost differently from a full road transfer POA
Group size Transport and guiding costs are shared across the group POA

Booking Window

Parahyangan, as a resort course, takes reservations up to 14 days ahead [6]. Zora plans the itinerary well before that window and confirms the tee time as soon as it opens.

Weather and the Best Time for the Tour

Bandung's mean low is 19.9 °C, against 25.5 °C in Jakarta, so early tee times in the highlands are fresh [1]. Dago Heritage, at about 950–1,065 m, is cooler again, and a light layer helps on the first few holes [3].

August is Bandung's driest month, which makes the middle of the year the most reliable time to go [1]. Jakarta's wet season runs from December to March, when morning rounds are the safer choice in both cities [1].
